Coins and Paper Money
Collecting coins and paper money of United States has been a popular hobby and investment for some americans. I personally enjoy collecting silver coins with commorative values. Why silver coins? Silver itself is a precious metal and it is cheaper to collect than gold coins. You can find unique, rare silver coins on auction sites such as eBay and the prices ranges from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars. I do collect some NOTES, but paper money on the other hand requires more care when handling and preserving. The important thing about investing in coins and paper money is to know the dollar value of these collectibles. Do they appreciate in value with time? And most important, how do you put a price tag on an item that seems to worth much more than its original value. Most people relied on guide books and catalogues to put a basic price tag on their coins and paper money collection. If you really want to know how much your collection is worth, take a look at prices of coins and paper money at auction sites and you will know how much your collection is worth as compared to the prices found on numismatics guides.
