Looking for a Starter Drum Set

I was involved in helping my child to form a band in his school. I had to find a starter drum set for a school's music band and was doing a bit of research for the best deals. I wasn't looking for a high-end drum kit as the set will only be used for practicing and training lessons. I figured a standard 5-piece acoustic drumset would be sufficient for the band. A typical 5-piece drum kit would consist of the Bass Drum, High Tom, Mid Tom, Snare Drum and Floor Tom. Also, I have to include the Hi-hat and crash cymbals and drum stool. A typical drum set will set me off of about $300 dollars which I think is quite affordable. For the band training, I was also trying to find metronomes to help the drummer train his timing. Once we get all the equipment ready we should be able to form the band and start practicing soon.

I'm picking-up golf lessons as a new sport. My golf instructer wants us to have our own golf equipment. So I 've decided to buy second-hand golf clubs and accessories from the sporting goods store. Finding second-hand golf equipment online is easy, as there are many websites advertising sports equipment. My favourite place to look for sporting goods is on eBay. Before I start hunting for bargains online, I asked my golf instructor for some tips on buying second-hand golf equipment.

Tips on choosing second-hand golf clubs include:
1) check the shafts for signs fo rust and wear and tear
2) check the gribs are still in good condition
3) check the grooves in the face are not worn

My initial investment on golf include a set of drivers and putters. The rest of the accessories will be bought as I my lessons increases.
