Halloween

I've purchased some halloween supplies and halloween costume for this coming holiday. I would think the children would want to invite their friends over for a halloween party. In fact, I've over heard some of the children talking about pulling pranks on their neighbours all in the name of fun. My children will be wearing masks and costumes for parties and for trick-or-treating. I will be preparing some candys for Trick-or-treaters as the children go from house to house. For the Halloween party the plan will be to include games such as bobbing for apples and the party-goers will be expected to wear halloween costume of ghosts, witches, and vampires. This year, I got a few big pumpkins and intend to carved them out myself and placed them around the house. I intend to place the lightings and the neon lights around my garden and the front porch.

Capturing Special Occasions on HDV Camcorders

The next few months till Christmas and New Year will be a very busy time for me as I will be attending a few weddings and celebrating special parties for Halloween, Christmas and New Year. This year will be different, as I will be capturing all the occasions on my new HDV camcorder, that I've bought last Christmas. I'm excited with using this HDV camcorder and for the first time I'll be able to capture images in full high-definition at 1080p x 720p. My friends knew that I own a Sony HDV Camcorder and has asked me to help them film their weddings and parties. I figured, I will need to buy additional batteries and bring my laptop to download the digital videos just in case the 60 gig hardisk runs out. My HDV camcorder is quite easy to use but I will still need to practice on some of the focusing and panning techniques to make the events look professionally filmed.
