Comics
Comics.. no I'm not talking about standup comedians.. but comic books. Most of us grew up reading comics such as spiderman, batman and superman. The latest blockbuster movie of Ironman reminds me of the days when I spent a lot of time collecting a bunch of comics books and gave it away after I left high school. Feeling a little bit of nostalgia, I went to a nearby bookstore to find the latest comic books. It seems manga comics has now populated most of the bookshelves, while superheroes comics are rarely found.

Dolls
My good friend Olivia has a friend who is very skillful in designing and making dolls clothing and accessories. She can stitch up alot of nice accessories for her collection of dolls. She has about 150 dolls placed in a special room to showcase the clothings and accessories that she had made over the years. I went to her house with Olivia for tea the other day and she showed me all her dolls and explained to me the history of each one of her dolls collection. It was really an eye opener....

Pottery or Porcelain?
I had an interesting chit-chat with a friend of mine who is in the business of selling pottery and porcelain. He said: "most people can't tell the difference between pottery and porcelain did you know that?" I told him... I'm one of those people and went on to ask him the difference between pottery and porcelain.
He explained, pottery is opaque, softer, easier to break and stained more easily while porcelain is translucent, thinner, lighter, durable and dearer.
So the next time you pick up a piece of china, you will know whether it is pottery or porcelain?
